| I know big surprise, my post is about my wedding, just wanted to fill in a few blanks, the wedding will be at 6pm on Friday, August 8, 2008. The rehearsal dinner for the wedding party and their immediate families and our grandparents is booked at The Smith House(down home southern cooking, family style) 7:30 the night before the wedding(August 7th). I have also reserved The Park Place Hotel in its entirety(see previous post for link to website), they have 13 suites, I know some people have already expressed interest in specific rooms(L+D+family, my sis) but I would like to get a list of who wants to be where so that I can tell the hotel , that way when people call they can know which suite has been spoken for and which ones are still available. here is a list of suites and beds in each suite.
1. The Georgian- 2 Queen Bedrooms + 1 Queen couch pullout (L+D asked for this one) $135per 2. The Athens- 1 Queen + 1 Single couch pullout (open) $135per 3. The Savannah- 1 Queen + 1 Single couch pullout (J and M) $135per 4. The Appalachian- 1 Queen + 1 Single couch pullout(open, handicap accessible) $135per 5. The Manhattan- 1 King + 1 Single couch pullout(Pam and The Best man) $120per 6. The Madison- 2 Queen(in one room) + couch(Southern Gordons) $135per 7. The Dogwood- 1 Queen + Queen pullout couch(open) $135per 8. The Sorrento- 1 Queen + Queen pullout couch(open) $135per 9. The Crescent- 1 Queen(my mom and dad) $135per 10. The Sonoma- 1 King(My sis) $120per 11. The St. Johns- 1 King(honeymoon suite, sorry guys this ones reserved :) 12. The Churchhill- 1 Double(open)$99 14. The Magnolia- 1 Queen +1 Single couch(open)$120
we also will be either emailing or sending save the dates(for those without e-mail) to people with hotel info(address, phone) for those who will not be staying with us at Park Place. Also as people tell me I will try to post what rooms have been spoken for so that there is no confusion, love you all talk soon!
Just for fun, we've started our own wedding website! you all pretty much have most of the info, but you can check it out at http://www.momentville.com/BenKara | | |
| Hey Hey hey!! long time no type!! ok I have another exciting poll for everyone to take, and I would really appreciate quick and honest responses, as this one is time sensitive! I have located a hotel in Dahlonega,(PARK PLACE HOTEL) literally like 5 minutes from the wedding site, they have 13 rooms(sleeps 40 ppl altogether) and I can reserve the entire hotel for the event, including a very nice honeymoon suite for myself and Kara the night of the wedding!, The only problem with all this being that I have to put down a sizeable deposit if I want to reserve the entire hotel. SO all I need to know is, are people interested in this hotel?, If so, how many people??? We would have to book at least 10 rooms for it to be worth it to rent the whole place(and get the discount/reservation). Anyway this hotel is going to book up fast, every room has its own unique layout, furniture and fixtures! ( the pictures on the site don't do them justice) they have flat screen tvs in every room, Starbucks coffee, gorgeous furniture, most rooms are 2 room suites with pullouts or more(one is even a 2 bedroom(queen) with a living room(pullout)), its in the middle of downtown Dahlonega, the only thing i'm not sure about is pricing, there is one room that rents for $99 a night, but the rest are all $120-135 a night. If this seems like a good option, and you are interested, please let me know(and also let me know dates that people are coming!!!) so I can put down a deposit, please check out the website and if you have any questions call me or ask on here, and again plase tell me your honest opinions, I don't have my heart set on this or anything so you won't be hurting my feelings :). Also, obviously not everyone attending the wedding will be able to stay in this hotel as there are only 13 rooms, We have checked out more than a few other hotels in the area, and if you want any info about these (Holiday Inn Express Dahlonega, Days Inn Dahlonega, Best Western Dawsonville) don't hesitate to ask, thanks so much, I love everyone, bear with my insanity over the next few months please, and keep in mind I have no idea what i'm doing, lol
